The power of spoken word is undeniable as an art form. Local spoken word artist Melanie Lavender will be teaching a six week course at Fogartyville that will end with a performance on Friday, August 26th. Students will learn different poetry writing techniques, delivery of poetry, and public speaking/performance. The workshop will take place on Saturdays from 3-4pm; The course begins Saturday, July 16th and runs through Saturday, August 20th. The course costs $60 per person.
