Building Bridges with Stories: A Children’s Storytelling Workshop (Suncoast Remake Learning Days)

Spend an afternoon with the team at Sarasota Magazine and DreamLarge! Learn all about storytelling, creativity, and make new friends as we build the story of Sarasota—one colorful page at a time!

What to expect:

  • Get inspired with fun writing prompts that spark your creativity

  • Craft your story on paper and make it uniquely yours with colors, drawings, or designs

  • Step up to the mic to share your story (only if you want to - no pressure!)

  • Watch your story become part of something bigger as all pages come together in our community book

This workshop is for everyone - storytelling pros and first-timers, kids, teens, and adults, the quiet ones and the theatrical ones. Everyone has a story worth telling.

When we share our stories, we build understanding. When we listen to others, we grow our perspective. Together, we'll create something meaningful that belongs to all of us.

Optional: Bring a small object that means something to you—maybe it's from a Sarasota adventure, family tradition, or personal milestone. It might just be the perfect inspiration for your story.
